Arthur Illinois - October 12-13, 2012
KCBS Competition barbeque and bluegrass
Visit Arthur and see some fantastic BBQ rigs, some of the top competition
teams on the KCBS circuit, and enjoy eating some mighty fine "Q while you
are at it.
Competition BBQ teams are made up of some of the friendliest folks around. Look interested, or ask a question and they'll give you all the information and friendly talk you can handle. They may not give you one secret ingredient that they think makes their flavor special, but we guarantee that they'll get you close.
Smokers and Equipment
Thinking of upgrading your backyard equipment? There are a number of
smoker representatives here that can also demo their equipment. Along the
way you can look at and "talk smokin" with any of the teams about their
favorite smokers and the pros and cons of all of the ones they use now or
have used before. Be
careful though, you might go home with a new rig.
Shopping
For the family, there are shops all over downtown to visit,
including an
old fashioned ice cream parlor, antiques, fine art, baked goods,
custom Amish furniture, quilts, sewing and crafts. And a lot more just outside of town.
The Great Pumpkin Patch is in full swing right now, and a great experience
for young and old.
